About

ben musholt straddle flagBen Musholt graduated with his physical therapy degree from the University of New Mexico in 2001. In 2009 he launched BPMRx.com, a home exercise program software solution for health and fitness professionals. If you haven’t already run into him on a local trail, you might have caught him on NBC’s American Ninja Warrior in 2012 when he dislocated his shoulder on the Warped Wall.

He hails from Wisconsin, where he was a competitive gymnast in high school and where he began his love affair with movement. Over the past 30 years he has explored all manner of board sports, martial arts, and outdoor athletics. The scars from his surgeries and ER trips are there to prove it.

After dropping out of a graduate program in Public Health, Ben decided to go all-in on promoting physical activity. In 2013 he released the world’s largest illustrated fitness book, the Mad Skills Exercise Encyclopedia. That was the same year he became a certified parkour coach through ParkourEDU. Three years later he co-authored Parkour Strength Training with Ryan Ford.

You can find some of his thoughts about strength and conditioning on the Men’s Fitness, Breaking Muscle, and Muscle and Fitness websites.

Ben can be found as @benmusholt on both Twitter and Instagram.
